BUILT BY SHORT BROS. LTD. WITH QUADRUPLE- EXPANSION ENGINES OF 453NHP. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY NITRATE PRODUCERS' S.S. CO. PASSAGE NEWPORT, MON. FOR BAHIA BLANCA. SUNK BY GERMAN RAIDER NARVIK. ALL CREW LOST EXCEPT FOR 2 SURVIVORS WHO DRIFTED IN A SHIPS BOAT FOR 2,500 MILES IN 71 DAYS TO LAND AT ELEUTHERA ISLAND. (DODS & LLWW2)
