Circumstances of loss
BUILT IN 1918 BY A G NEPTUN, ROSTOCK. 4 CYLINDER OIL ENGINE OF 476 BHP, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGELA PALLICE FOR BARRY FOR BUNKERS, FOR A VOYAGE TO JAPAN, TO WHOM SHE HAD BEEN AWARDED AS PART OF THEIR WAR REPARATIONS. STRUCK ROCKS A FEW HUNDRED YARDS WEST OF THE CG LOOKOUT ON PENZER POINT NEAR MOUSEHOLE IN A HARD QUARTERING GALE. LATER BROKEN UP BY WESTERN MARINE SALVAGE CO OF PENZANCE AND IN THE WINTER OF 1921 FINALLY DISAPPEARED BELOW THE PENZER CLIFFS. (CORNISH SHIPWRECKS VOL 1 & SIBI).
