BUILT IN 1958. WHILST EN-ROUTE GDYNIA TO CHITTAGONG OR CHALNA, EAST PAKISTAN, WAS DELIBERATELY BEACHED AFTER SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION, FIRE AND EXPLOSIONS OCCURRED IN HER CARGO HOLD, SW OF MADAGASCAR. THE STRICKEN VESSEL WAS BEACHED NEAR THE PORT OF TULEAR, STILL BURNING AND WAS FINALLY ABANDONED THREE DAYS LATER. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY EFTHALASIA SHIPPING CO. S.A.
