VESSEL, [EX-'SAMAA III' '92, EX-'MAZEN' '92, EX-'SOFIA' '88, EX-'SAALE' '81]. BUILT IN 1958 BY TERNEUZENSCHE SCHEEPSBOUW MIJ NV, TERNEUZEN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MOHAMMAD MAZHAR. STARTED TO SINK WHILE IN KARACHI OUTER ANCHORAGE. WAS ABANDONED BY CREW AND LATER BEACHED BY HARBOUR AUTHORITIES. BROKE IN TWO DURING MONSOON. MANY DRUMS OF BITUMEN WERE SCATTERED ALONG THE BEACH. (MSD).
