BUILT IN 1940 BY A/S AKERS MEK VAERKS, OSLO, NORWAY. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY FRED OLSEN & CO LINE. 14 CYLINDER OIL ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE ROSARIO, RIVER PLATE FOR OSLO, VIA DUBLIN. RAN AGROUND ON NORTHERN END OF KISH BANK DURING SEVERE SNOWSTORM. CREW AND 45 PASSENGERS RESCUED BY DUN LAOGHAIRE LIFEBOAT. LATER DISPERSED. BOW SECTION REMAINS, REMAINDER FLATTENED. (SII).
