BUILT IN 1943 BY HOUSTON SHIPBUILDING CORPORATION. OWNED AT THE TIME OF LOSS BY US WAR SHIPPING ADMINISTRATION. BOMBED AND SUNK OFF THE NORMANDY COAST. ONE OF HER CREW AND SEVEN US ARMY PERSONNEL WERE KILLED. (DODS). SUNK OFF UTAH BEACH HEAD. (THE LIBERTY SHIPS).
