AFT OF THE ENGINE IS THE THRUST BLOCK AND PROP SHAFT. AFTER HOLD AREA IS DISPERSED AND THE STERN IS A MASS OF WRECKAGE. PROP CAN BE SEEN WITH THE UPPERMOST BLADE MISSING A LARGE PIECE. BUILT IN 1901 BY MACKIE & THOMPSON. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY F S HOLLAND. TWO BOILERS, TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE OF 135 NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE THE TYNE FOR WATERFORD. SANK FOLLOWING COLLISION WITH HMS KING ALFRED (CURISER, 14100 TONS). ONE MAN LOST.
