OWNED [AS 'CHRONIS III'] BY A KAVADAS, PIRAEUS. 6 CYLINDER, 4 STROKE OIL ENGINE OF 520BHP FOR 9KTS, SINGLE SHAFT. ON PASSAGE FROM THESSALONIKI FOR BENGHAZI, LIBYA. WAS HIT BY THREE SUCCESSIVE WAVES ON THE PORT SIDE & APPROX 40 TONS OF DECK CARGO SHIFTED AFTER LASHINGS BROKE. DEVELOPED A LIST & WAS ABANDONED. DRIFTED ASHORE & SANK. ALL CREW SAFE.
