TORPEDOED AND SUNK BY GERMAN SUBMARINE U-68. CARGO 600 TONS PIG IRON, 3.25 MILLION OZ SILVER. 104 LIVES LOST. ENQUIRIES HAVE BEEN RECEIVED REGARDING SALVAGE CONTRACT. (TELECON, TREASURY 21.4.83 & DODS).
