ALMOST INTACT, APPEARS TO HAVE LARGE HOLE AMIDSHIPS. STERN PARTLY CRUSHED AND LYING ON SIDE. PROBABLY CLAN MACNAB. (HMS FOX, HI 42A/77). AMEND WK 63MTRS. BR STD. H2979/74 1.3.79 FF REPD IN 502146N, 055302W USING DECCA. (E GILES, 16.5.77). NCA. HH100/351/22 17.5.05 DIVED 1.5.05 IN LISTED POSN. A LARGE WK, UPRIGHT AND LYING E/W ON A SANDY SEABED IN GEN DEPTH 74MTRS. BOWS E ARE UPRIGHT WITH A SLIGHT LIST TO STBD AND FAIRLY INTACT. SIDES OF THE HULL ARE COLLAPSED OUTWARDS AND SHOW WK TO BE OF TURRET-DECK STEAMER DESIGN. THREE LARGE BOILERS IN LINE WITH A DONKEY BOILER LYING ALONGSIDE TO PORT. TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINE. EVIDENCE OF SOME DAMAGE ALONGSIDE THE REARMOST BOILER AND ENGINE ROOM ON THE PORT SIDE, MOST PROBABLY DUE TO A TORPEDO HIT. ALMOST DEFINITELY IDENTIFIED AS THE CLAN MACNAB. (M ADES).
