BUILT IN 1873 BY J KEY & SON, KINGHORN. ONE BOILER, COMPOUND EXPANSION ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. SCUTTLED AS A BLOCKSHIP. THE FIRING CIRCUITS FAILED AND THE TIDE TOOK THE SHIP TO THE E, WHERE SHE SANK. WAS CONSIDERED BY THE ADMIRALTY AS OF NO FURTHER USE AS A BLOCKSHIP. (K HEATH).
