12.8.87 IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT VESSEL WAS MAKING WATER AS SHE APPROACHED ZANZIBAR PORT. PERMISSION WAS SOUGHT TO BEACH HER ON A SANDBANK BUT THIS WAS REFUSED. SHE SUBSEQUENTLY DOCKED AT ZANZIBAR AND SANK ALONGSIDE MV MAPINDUZI, BLOCKING PORT. WAS RAISED 12.8.87 AND TOWED SOME 300MTRS N TO WEATHER CREEK WHERE, APPARENTLY, SHE AGAIN SANK. (LL, 25.6.87 & 30.8.88). WAS A DUTCH TYPE MOTORISED RIVER BARGE. (K PATIENCE).
