EX-AUTHOR. BUILT IN 1880 BY C MITCHELL & CO, NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY J H GOODYEAR, LIVERPOOL. SINGLE BOILER, COMPOUND EXPANSION ENGINE OF 184 HP, SINGLE SCREW. MACHINERY BY WALLSEND SLIPWAY CO, NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE. PASSAGE DANZIG FOR LIVERPOOL. CARGO RAILWAY SLEEPERS. STRANDED AND LOST IN FOG AND CALM CONDITIONS ON THE NW CORNER OF STROMA. CAPSIZED AFTER THE CREW HAD ABANDONED.
