HH232/450/04 7.4.98 HH232/450/04 7.4.98 SANK, TOGETHER WITH CRANE, IN 500805N, 033802.5W [OGB]. (LL, 22.3.98). 7.4.98 7.4.98 VESSEL WAS HULK OF FV WHICH HAD BEEN DECOMMISSIONED SOME TIME PREVIOUSLY. HAD BEEN CUT DOWN WITH ALL UPPERWORKS AND MASTS ETC REMOVED. APERTURES PLATED OVER TO FORM A FLOATING STORE FOR FISHING GEAR. HULK WAS 26.4MTRS LONG WITH DRAUGHT OF ABOUT 2.5MTRS. HT ABOVE WATER ABOUT 1.5MTRS. IN VERY POOR CONDITION. DISCUSSIONS WITH THE MASTER OF M TUG 'FALMOUTH BAY' REVEALED THAT CRANE BARGE DID NOT SINK. HULK HAD PREVIOUSLY SUNK IN THE HARBOUR IN BRIXHAM AT CHRISTMAS 1997 WHERE SHE REMAINED UNTIL RECOVERED PRIOR TO BEING TOWED TO FALMOUTH. (TELECON HARBOUR MASTER BRIXHAM/WO 7.4.98). INS AS USC 70MTRS. - NM 1609/98. HH091/059/01 14.4.05 HH091/059/01 14.4.05 NOT LOCATED, DISPROVED. (GARDLINE, HI 1059). AMEND DEAD. BR STD.
