CONVOY SCATTERED DURING HEAVY GALE ON 12.1.42 AND CULEBRA NEVER REGAINED CONTACT. SUNK BY GUNFIRE FROM GERMAN SUBMARINE. CREW OF 45 LOST. (DODS).
