(HMS FAWN HI 357). AMEND TO WK 28MTRS. - NM 1184/88. HH100/351/01 22.11.89 DIVED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. VERY LARGE WK SITTING UPRIGHT WITH SLIGHT LIST TO STBD AND BOW S. MIDSHIPS BRIDGE SECTION STARTING TO COLLAPSE AND THE AFTER SECTION HAS TOTALLY FALLEN OVER TO STBD. NO SIGNS OF CARGO. APPARENTLY AN OLD SHIP FROM STATE OF METAL DECAY. UNUSUALLY DEEP SCOUR ALONG STBD SIDE WHERE WK STANDS SOME 8 TO 9 MTRS HIGH. (K HURLEY, 23.10.89). HH100/351/08 20.5.94 ALMOST CERTAINLY DELFINA. PLOTS CLOSE TO CHARTED WRECK, SIZE IS COMPATIBLE WITH SURVEYED DEPTH AND NO CARGO IS ON BOARD. (K HURLEY, 20.5.94). SEP2022/000028019 12.04.22 EXAM'D 05.08.2021; IN 5327.624N, 0404.292W [WGD]. Circumstances of loss

STRUCK ROCKS OFF THE SKERRIES ABOUT 4 MILES NW OF THE SKERRIES LT. DISTRESS CABLES MADE TO SEAFORTH WIRELESS STATION AS NO 1 AND NO 2 HOLDS WERE FLOODED. CREW RESCUED BY HARRISON LINE VESSEL 'HUNTSMAN' WHICH LEFT FOR LIVERPOOL. DELFINA REMAINED AFLOAT, DRIFTING EAST ON THE FLOOD TIDE. SPOTTED BY LIVERPOOL TRAWLER 'GOSINA' WHO OBSERVED HER TO SINK IN POSN: PENMON LT SOUTH BY EAST, POINT LYNAS LT WEST BY SOUTH.
