BUILT IN 1971 BY ZHDANOV, LENINGRAD. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY THE GOVERNMENT OF ROMANIA. PASSAGE ROTTERDAM FOR ISTANBUL. TOOK ON LIST DURING HEAVY SEAS. WAS ABANDONED BY CREW AND LATER TAKEN IN TOW BY DUTCH TUG 'GELDERLAND' BUT SANK WHILE UNDER TOW TOWARDS FALMOUTH. (MSD).
