A BRITISH EAST INDIAMAN. PASSAGE THE THAMES FOR INDIA. SANK IN A STORM 40 MILES OFF PORT ELIZABETH. SURVIVORS BUILT A 20FT VESSEL FROM WRECKAGE AND SAILED TO MOZAMBIQUE. SITE DISCOVERED BY DIVER DAVID ALLEN IN 1977. SEVERAL CHESTS OF SPECIE RECOVERED, ALSO 4 BRONZE CANNON, GUNS, NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT AND OTHER 18TH CENTURY TRADE GOODS. (D TELEGRAPH).
