BUILT IN 1971 BY NIIGATA ENGINEERING CO LTD, NIIGATA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY NEGROS NAVIGATION CO INC. PASSAGE MANILLA FOR BACOLOD, NEGROS ISLAND. COLLIDED WITH M TANK BARGE TACLOBAN CITY AND SANK IN 15 MINUTES. VESSEL REPORTED TO BE CARRYING 890 PASSANGERS AND 110 CREW. 896 WERE RESCUED AND 121 BODIES RECOVERED. (MSD).
