VESSEL, BUILT 1987 BY DANYARD A/S, FREDERIKSHAVN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MERC-SCANDIA XLIX K/S. ON PASSAGE FROM DOUALA & OTHER W AFRICAN PORTS TO LE HAVRE. SUDDENLY CAPSIZED DURING STORMY WEATHER. WAS ABANDONED BY CREW OF 17 AND LAST SEEN AFLOAT, LYING ON ITS SIDE. NOT FOUND BY SEARCHING AIRCRAFT, PRESUMED TO HAVE SUNK. (LLOYDS VOL.280).
