GROUNDED OFF BOULOURIS BEACH, NEAR ST RAPHAEL ON 17.2.01. CREW DISAPPEARED. REFLOATED BY FRENCH NAVY TUG 18.2.01. SANK WHILE UNDER TOW TO TOULON. VESSEL WAS ORIGINALLY DRIVEN ASHORE AND LEFT BY CREW WITH PROPELLOR TURNING TO LAND 908 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WHO WERE LIVING IN DISGUSTING CONDITIONS.
