BUILT IN 1965 BY SOC. ESANOLA DE CONSTRUCCIONES NAVAL, BILBAO. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY BOLIVARIANA DE NAVEGACION, S.A. PASSAGE CALLAO FOR BUENAVENTURA. CARGO OF 3000 TONS COPPER, 300 TONS MARBLE AND ZINC ALLOY. DRIFTED AWAY & SANK AFTER FIRE IN THE ENGINE ROOM WAS FOLLOWED BY RAPID FLOODING. CREW REACHED SAFETY IN THEIR LIFERAFTS 3 DAYS LATER. (MSD).
