PASSAGE THE TYNE FOR WABANA, NEWFOUDLAND. TORPEDOED BY U-138 WHEN PART OF CONVOY OB 216. WAS TAKEN IN TOW BUT LATER SANK. 21 CREW LOST, 18 RECOVERED. (LLWW2, DODS & SIBI).
