Circumstances of loss
27.9.19 FORMER GERMAN HARBOUR FERRY, ORIGINALLY NAMED ALTE LIEBE, BUILT IN 1959 AND IN SERVICE UNTIL 1995. RENAMED ENDEAVOUR (IMO NO.5264663). UNDER RENOVATION AT LIVERPOOL'S CANADA DOCK TO REFURBISH INTO 450 PASSENGER FERRY OPERATED BY LIVERPOOL AND NORTH WALES STEAMSHIP COMPANY. SANK MAY 2019. OWNERS DID NOT RAISE VESSEL, AS IT CONSTITUTED A DANGER TO NAVIGATION POSSESSION OF THE VESSEL WAS TAKEN BY MERSEY DOCKS AND HARBOUR COMPANY TO RAISE IT.
