VESSEL, BUILT 1923 BY TYNE IRON S.B. CO. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MID-ATLANTIC SHIPPING CO. DAMAGED IN AN INSURGENT AIR RAID AT ALICANTE, DURING THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR. AGAIN BOMBED & SET ON FIRE. EVENTUALLY SANK AFTER A THIRD ATTACK. (DODS).
