BUILT 1967 BY CANTIERI NAVALI 'LUIGI ORLANDO', LEGHORN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY TRAGHETTI DEL MEDITERRANNEO. ON PASSAGE FROM GENOA TO PALERMO. LISTED TO PORT IN HEAVY WEATHER & TOOK IN WATER, WHILST BEING TOWED SHE SANK OFF GORGONA ISLAND. SHE WAS RAISED FOUR MONTHS LATER & BEACHED. EVENTUALLY REPAIRED & RETURNED TO SERVICE IN DEC 1976. ALL CREW OF 27 & SEVEN PASSENGERS SAFE. (MSD).
