CHART AS DWP 35MTRS. NE 34. H3227/74 6.6.74 WRECK OF SV, POSSIBLY 'FALKLAND', LOCATED USING MAGNETOMETER IN 495302N, 062517W USING DECCA. POSSIBLY THIS WRECK OR NEAR TO IT. ESTIMATED 2000 TONS, LIES SSE/NNW. PARTLY SILTED RIBS, MASS OF MASTS AND PLATING AND SEVERAL LARGE MASTS LYING AROUND AND HEAPS OF CHAIN WITH ANCHOR TO NW. (MR GILES, 15.5.74). BUILT IN 1889 BY W H POTTER & SONS AND OWNED AT THE TIME OF LOSS BY PALACE SHIPPING CO., STRUCK BISHOP ROCK LTHO AND SANK WHILST EN ROUTE FROM TACOMA TO FALMOUTH. 6 LIVES LOST. (DODS & SHIPWRECK INDEX OF THE BRITISH ISLES).
