VESSEL WAS BLOWN ASHORE WHEN SHE WAS ABANDONED AFTER FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE ENGINE ROOM. PASSAGE CAPE TOWN FOR DURBAN. 1 MAN LOST, 54 ON BOARD RESCUED INCLUDING MASTERS WIFE BY MV CITY OF YORK. CONFIRMED A TOTAL LOSS. (LONDON COURT REPORT NO. 8008)
