BUILT IN 1943 BY WEST COAST SHIPBUILDERS. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MINISTRY OF WAR TRANSPORT (E.R. MANAGEMENT). PASSAGE NEW YORK FOR ALEXANDRIA. ATTACKED BY GERMAN AIRCRAFT LAUNCHED TORPEDO, WEST OF ALGIERS. THE BURNING WRECK WAS SUNK BY GUNFIRE. CREW OF 46 & 10 GUNNERS, 5 LIVES LOST. (DODS, LLWW2 & WW2SL).
