BUILT 1972, OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY OFFSHORE COMPANY & UNDER CONTRACT TO AMOCO OIL CO. ONE LEG DAMAGED WHILE DRILLING 7M FROM RAMADAN FIELD, POSSIBLY DUE TO SEABED CAVING. ROLLED OVER DURING SALVAGE OPERATIONS DUE TO HEAVY WEATHER, ALL LEGS DAMAGED. DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS AND REMOVED AND SUBSEQUENTLY BROKEN UP. 18 LIVES LOST. (MSD)
