PASSAGE THE CLYDE FOR INDIA AS PART OF A LARGE CONVOY OF OVER 100 MERCHANTMEN, ESCORTED BY A SLOOP & 7 CORVETTES. TORPEDOED AND SANK QUICKLY. 38 MEN LOST, 38 RECOVERED. (DODS).
