BUILT 1980 BY SCHICHAU-UNTERWESER A.G., BREMERHAVN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY TOWNSEND CAR FERRIES LTD. CAPSIZED AND SANK ON LEAVING ZEEBRUGGE HARBOUR, WHEN WATER ENTERED VESSEL THROUGH THE BOW DOOR, WHICH HAD NOT BEEN COMPLETELY CLOSED. SANK IN ABOUT ONE MINUTE. APPROXIMATELY 400 PASSENGERS SURVIVED. (MSD).
