BUILT 1910 BY JOHN BROWN SHIPBUILDERS, GLASGOW WITH STEAM TURBINE ENGINES OF 13500HP, TWIN SHAFT. STRUCK A MINE. FOREPART OF SHIP WAS BLOWN OFF AND SANK. 31 OF 104 CREW LOST. NEW BOW WAS CONSTRUCTED AND REPAIRED VESSEL CONTINUED IN SERVICE UNTIL 1921. (SII)
