24.10.41 BUILT IN 1938 BY VICKERS ARMSTRONG. 3 X THREE DRUM BOILERS, S TURBINES OF 44,430 SHP FOR 36.2 KNOTS, TWIN SHAFT. 8 X 4.7 INCH GUNS IN TWIN TURRETS, 1 X QUADRUPLE 2 PDR AA, 2 X QUADRUPLE 0.5 INCH MACHINE GUNS, QUADRUPLE TORPEDO TUBES. TOPEDOED BY U-563 ON 24.10.41. TOOK THREE DAYS TO SINK. OF HER COMPLEMENT OF 219, THE CAPTAIN, THREE OFFICERS & 154 RATINGS WERE KILLED, FIVE OFFICERS & 23 RATINGS WOUNDED. (DODS & AXIA SUBMARINE SUCCESSES).
