NE 106. 19.8.08 DIVED 16.8.08 IN LISTED POSN. LEAST DEPTH 30MTRS IN GEN DEPTH 36MTRS. SCOUR DEPTH 39MTRS. NO DEBRIS FIELD. SEABED SAND. WRECK INTACT AND LYING ON ITS PORT SIDE. ALL DECK MISSING. A LARGE GUN AND MOUNT HAS FALLEN ONTO SEABED AT BOW. BRIDGE HAS COLLAPSED ONTO SEABED. THERE ARE 6 DEPTH CHARGES ON STERN SECTION, WHICH HAS A LARGE BREAK OR HOLE WHICH ALLOWS ENTRY INTO WRECK. (G BUXTON, E-MAIL DTD 19.8.08). NCA. 17.12.08 GUN NOW LIES ON SEABED DIRECTLY UNDER THE MOUNTING. ALL OF THE SUPERSTRUCTURE NOW BROKEN OFF AND LIES SCATTERED ON THE SEABED, FORMING A DEBRIS FIELD CLOSE TO THE WK. SMALL MAST OR REMNANTS OF A MAST RUNS FROM THE WK THROUGH THE DEBRIS FIELD AND DISAPPEARS INTO THE SAND. MOST OF THE DECKING HAS NOW GONE WITH SEVERAL HATCHWAYS OPEN.
