LYING SLIGHTLY OBLIQUE TO THE DIRECTION OF THE CHANNEL. NO E/S DEPTH OVER WK, BUT SCANNER INDICATES MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF WK OFF SEABED TO BE NOT MORE THAN ABOUT 4FT ON WESTERN EDGE OF THE CHANNEL. (RV CLIONE 1970, LOWESTOFT FISHLAB LTR DTD 22.1.71). COLUD BE A PORTION OF THE WRECKAGE OF HMS GIPSY, WHICH WAS REMOVED FROM THE CHARTED POSN 600FT SE IN 1969. NCA. 8.4.93 SHOWN AS F ON HARWICH HBR BOARD 38 - 1. (DTD 12.3.93). BR STD. HH242/480/09 20.2.96 AREA SURVEYED, NO DEBRIS LOCATED. RECOMMEND REMOVE SYMBOL. (HARWICH HAVEN AUTHORITY, LTR DTD 10.1.96). AMENDED TO DEAD. BR STD.
