VESSEL, BUILT 1929, WAS REQUISTIONED BY NAVY AS AN ARMED BOARDING VESSEL AND LATER SUNK BY ITALIAN SUBMARINE 'NANI' WHEN W OF GIBRALTAR. DATE SUNK GIVEN AS 5TH OCTOBER 1940 (AXIS SUBMARINE SUCCESSES 1939-45). REPORTED AS SUNK BY U-BOAT IN STRAITS OF DOVER, DATE GIVEN AS 5TH OCTOBER 1940. (BRITISH VESSELS LOST AT SEA 1939-45). REPORTED AS SUNK BY U-BOAT OFF GIBRALTAR, DATE GIVEN AS 5TH NOVEMBER 1941. (SHIPS OF THE ROYAL NAVY VOL.2; COLLEDGE).
