APPARENTLY LYING ON ITS SIDE WITH THE AFTER PORTION, FROM THE FUNNEL, FLATTENED AND PARTIALLY DISPERSED, PRESUMABLY BY THE EXPLOSION OF THE MINE. (TEES CONSERVANCY, 25.7.38). - NM 1630/38. H1323/38 1.11.48 OROPESA SWEEP AFTER DISPERSAL - CLEARED WHEN SET WITHIN 6FT OF THE BOTTOM. SCOUR LOCATED BY E/S IN 544036N, 010816W. (HMS SHARPSHOOTER, 9.2.49). INS AS 6FMS 1FT [11.1MTRS]. - NM 2374/48. HH100/351/16 20.6.00 WK IS TOTALLY COLLAPSED AND WELL DISPERSED. JUST THE BATTERED REMAINS OF THE ENGINE, A FEW STEEL PLATES, FRAMES, RIBS AND SECTIONS OF THE BOWS PROTRUDE ABOVE THE SEABED IN A HALF METRE SCOUR. (R YOUNG).
