BUILT 1926 BY ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, NEWCASTLE-UPON-TYNE. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ALMA HORN SHIPPING CO., SA. CAUGHT FIRE FOLLOWING AN EXPLOSION IN HER ENGINE-ROOM WHILE LOADING A CARGO OF ESPARTO GRASS. SHE WAS TOWED OUT OF ARZEW & LATER SANK. (MSD).
