REAR CARGO HATCHES & DERRICKS ARE GONE. FRONT DERRICKS STILL INTACT. SHIP IS SITTING UPRIGHT ON THE ROCKY FORESHORE, BOWS NE. SOME WRECKAGE IS SCATTERED ON THE ROCKS ON THE PORT SIDE. VESSEL, BUILT 1947, RAN AGROUND 0.5M S OF GRIM NESS HEAD, S RONALDSAY AFTER RUNNING OUT OF FUEL IN GALE. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY SAN PARASKEVI SHIPPING CO. SHE WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SOLD FOR SCRAP. 8 MEMBERS OF LONGHOPE LIFEBOAT LOST THEIR LIVES GOING TO VESSEL'S ASSISTENCE.
