H1310/83/9 3.2.83 H1310/83/9 3.2.83 LOCATED LYING AGAINST BASE OF UNDERWATER CLIFF ABOUT 2 TO 300MTRS NNE OF THE CHARTED VYNECK ROCKS. AT THIS POINT THE CLIFF RISES TO A LEAST DEPTH OF ABOUT 5MTRS. THE STERN LIES TO THE N AND HER SHAFTS RUN TO THE SOUTH, BUT THE WRECK TURNS THROUGH A RIGHT ANGLE AT A BREAK IN THE REEF AND WRECKAGE OF THE BOW SECTION & BOILERS LIE IN AN E/W DIRN UP ON TO A PLATEAU. ESTIMATED POSN OF THE NEARBY HIGH POINT ON REEF IS 500757N, 054242W [OGB]. (A JENNIONS, 18.1.83). FOR FILING ONLY. 13.12.11 13.12.11 NOT LOCATED 15.11.10 USING M/B AND MAGNETOMETER. (FUGRO OSAE, HI 1157). AMEND DEAD. NCA.

WENT ASHORE ON THE VYNECK ROCKS, CAPE CORNWALL AND BROKE IN TWO. CREW OF 30 ROWED TO SENNEN COVE & WERE SAVED. (LLOYDS TELECON, LANDS END SHIPWRECKS, DODS & SIBI).
