THE LEVEL OF THE WK IS FAIRLY EVEN AT 10FT WITH BOILERS (INTACT) AT 12FT TOWARDS THE BOW. A MASS OF WRECKAGE REACHES UP TO ABOUT 20FT FROM THE SEABED. LYING WITH BOWS S. (E GILES, 9.11.74). INS AS WK 24MTRS. BR STD. H2979/74 12.5.76 WK FOUND IN 500151.96N, 054135.256W USING DECCA. (E.GILES, 1.4.76). AMEND POSN. BR STD. HH100/35/14 13.11.98 DIVED IN 500145N, 054129W [OGB] USING GPS. LIES ON SANDY SEABED, GENERALLY FLATTENED BUT RETAINING ITS OVERALL SHAPE. BOILERS AND DRIVE SHAFT INTACT. CARGO OF IRON ORE SPREAD OVER WRECKAGE AND ONTO SEABED. HIGHEST POINTS ARE NUMEROUS 'LAMP POST' STANCHIONS OF 200MM DIAMETER SOLID STEEL WHICH STICK UP FROM THE WK 5-6MTRS. KNOWN LOCALLY AS THE 'LAMP POST' WRECK. (G J LOCKETT, 11.11.98). AMEND POSN.
