4.10.39 SANK ON ARRANMAN BARRELS DURING SALVAGE ATTEMPT ON SS ST CONAN, WHICH COMMENCED 4.10.39. (T W JONES). VESSEL WAS BADLY HOLED, ABANDONED BY CREW, AND SANK A FEW HOURS LATER. (ARGYLL SHIPWRECKS)
