23.2.71 EX- DAIFUKU MARU NO.II, BUILT 1958. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY J.L.C. & SONS INC., OF MANILA. PASSAGE HONDAGUA FOR CEBU. WAS STRANDED ON REEF OFF MACULABO ISLAND AFTER ENCOUNTERING ROUGH SEAS DURING STORM 'WENING'. THE SITUATION WAS FURTHER AGGRAVATED BY TYPHOON 'PATSY' ON 23.2.71 WITH THE VESSEL STILL ON THE REEF. (LLOYDS VOLS. 202-204).
