| Surveying Details | HH100/351/13 24.3.98 WK LOCATED IN 070338S, 1143820E [WGD] USING GPS. AN INDONESIAN LANDING CRAFT OF APPROX 30MTRS LENGTH. SITS UPRIGHT IN 38MTRS OF WATER, HEADING 170DEGS. COMES TO WITHIN 27MTRS OF SURFACE. VESSEL HAD DEVELOPED A LEAK IN THE ENGINE ROOM AND WAS ANCHORED. SANK SOME HOURS LATER. STILL HAS A PARTIAL CARGO OF CANE. LOCALS SUGGEST THAT IT SANK BETWEEN 3 AND 7 YEARS AGO. (V SKOGLIE, FAX DTD 22.3.98). CHART AS WK 27MTRS. BR STD. |
