BUILT IN 1957 BY SANOYASU DOCKYARD CO., LTD., OSAKA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY LEOPARD LINE CO. S.A. PASSAGE JAPAN FOR JEDDAH. HEAVY LEAKAGE IN HER HOLDS DAMAGED THE CARGO, VESSEL DIVERTED TO BOMBAY. HER HULL WAS BADLY DAMAGED ON THE PORT SIDE AND THE CARGO OF CEMENT SOLIDIFIED. SHE WAS BEACHED ON THAL SHOAL REEFS, BOMBAY HARBOUR. CONSIDERED BY PORT AUTHORITIES TO BE A HAZARD. VESSEL WAS ABANDONED AS A TOTAL LOSS. (MSD)
