VESSEL, BUILT 1855 IN QUEBEC, WAS ON PASSAGE QUEBEC TO GREENOCK, LOST STEERING WHILE TRYING TO SEEK SHELTER IN LOCH RYAN DURING A STORM AND GROUNDED. 19 OF 21 CREW LOST. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY BY JOHN HALL OF NEWCASTLE, VESSEL WAS LATER SOLD AND MUCH OF HER TIMBER HULL RECOVERED. (SIBI & CLYDE SHIPWRECKS)
