DRIFTED ASHORE AT RATHLIN ISLAND AFTER BEING HOLED WHEN HITTING ROCKS OFF MULL OF KINTYRE IN A STORM. 29 OF 61 CREW LOST, 27 SURVIVORS, 22 MISSING, 8 BODIES RECOVERED. ON NORMAL CHARTER AT TIME OF LOSS, THOUGH HAD BEEN CONVERTED TO CARRY TROOPS. (SII).
