1.12.64 VESSEL, BUILT IN 1946 BY BARCLAY, CURLE & CO LTD, GLASGOW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY TRANSFRUIT SHIPPING CO LTD. PASSAGE HOUSTON FOR BOMBAY. RAN AGROUND ON PIGEON ROCKS, RAS BEIRUT REEF. SALVAGE OPS SUSPENDED DUE TO BAD WEATHER & VESSEL BROKE IN TO THREE SECTIONS, WITH ONLY AMIDSHIPS SECTION REMAINING ABOVE WATER. THIS SECTION WAS LATER DESTROYED BY FIRE ON 1.12.64. CREW SAFE. (MSD).
