7.7.91 BUILT IN 1976 BY MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES LTD, YOKOHAMA. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY TRY-TRANS SHIPPING CORPORATION. PASSAGE DAMPIER FOR PORT TALBOT. TOOK ON WATER THROUGH CRACK IN PORT SIDE. WAS ABANDONED BY CREW IN 294200S, 641700E IN PRESUMED SINKING CONDITION AND LEFT ADRIFT ON 7.7.91. WAS FOUND STILL ADRIFT BY MV ALGENIB ON 28.7.91 IN 235500S, 655500E. AN ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO START TOWING VESSEL BUT THIS FAILED AND SHE EVENTUALLY SANK ON 7.8.91. (MSD).
